Rapper Dolph’s mother tells authorities to bring killer to justice

After police in Memphis released a detailed sketch of one of the suspects who allegedly shot and killed Young Dolph, an outspoken critic of police officers, on Sunday night, his mother said that she would like for the person or persons responsible to be brought to justice. In addition, police also released photos of the suspects who are being sought by investigators.

“I am absolutely shocked and appalled, I pray that God not only helps find the coward that did this, but brings them to justice,” said Ms. Rahsaan Patterson in a statement released by the Memphis Police Department. “There are no words to describe what our family is going through right now. Our family is devastated to say the least. This was not just a son. He was a brother, a nephew, a cousin, a loved one, and a father.”

Earlier in the day, Mr. Dolph’s attorney, Charles Harder, condemned Mr. Dolph’s murder in a statement released by YT Studios, the rapper’s label. “Young Dolph was a deeply loved and respected human being, who was full of life,” the statement read. “He will not be silenced by this cowardly act that claimed his life. The entire YT Studios family joins me and Young Dolph’s fans in mourning his tragic and violent death.”
